SOMA Hikes - Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve
July 21, 2018
10:00am – 12:30pm
Location: 17000 Armstrong Woods Road, Guerneville, CA 95446
A group from SOMA explores our beautiful Sonoma County Parks together. This month we will be in the redwoods at Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve again.
This time we will stay level (no cliffs) and hike the Pioneer Trail and detour to the Armstrong tree that is estimated to be 1400 years old. It is 0.9 miles to the picnic tables.
Hiking is a great way to meet new people and have fun in community! All are welcome. Invite a friend.
Bring a sack lunch or pick up some food on the way to the hike. We will hike and eat lunch together. This park has tables in the middle of the hike. If you don't want to hike, drive into the preserve and park at the picnic tables. We will be at the picnic tables by 11:00.
Come prepared with water and good walking shoes. Meet at the Visitor's Center BEFORE the entrance gate.
Kids are welcome. Hike will be canceled if it is raining.
Some photos of our last time at Armstrong can be seen here.
